Reason for my absence = “no time” – a working Singaporean adult’s mantra. I’ve been initiated into the life of a typical working woman. Routine life is getting me down, not much of energy left for late nights... weekday nights last no longer then 11pm on a normal day...

But on the other hand... this change has me attaining skills I never knew I had... apparently I have subconscious conversational skills. Simply said I have conversations with people while I am sleeping... sometimes it can even be to the extent of putting one to sleep when one calls me at the wee hours due to sleeplessness... and yes all these while I’m sleeping. When I wake up in the morning, I’m totally unaware these conversations took place or at times partially aware (know there was a phone conversation but no idea of what the contents were).

WOoo HOo... long weekend's here!! Had a great day at the southern ridges with the Sirakugal gang...though we didn’t cover all of the 9km... we covered the more interesting parts (starting from Bt Chandu and ending at Harbour Front) and completed the 5km we set off to complete. will post photos in a few days time..

Now, more importantly for the rest of holidays... yours truly will kick back and chill out at the beach...See ya ;)

What was planned to be a trip to Chinatown, turned out to be the total opposite of it...

The plan: Meet at Outram. Go Chinatown. Take photos. Have a drink. Home sweet home.

What happened: Meet at Cityhall. Head down to esplanade. Had a change of mind and went to Flyer instead. Ate at Popeyes . Set off to esplanade again, this time to the esplanade library. Walk down to Bugis, but not before dropping by Raffles City. Cosy up at Food for Thought with a drink and cake. Home sweet home.

In the eyes of the rest of the world who view us on the media through such events... wouldn’t have guessed the above picture was taken is this lion city. While the poor in this industrialised country may not be in absolute poverty as compared to those in developing countries, but still, the relative poverty is an issue which need to be considered with much significance.

Fire at Bukit Panjang Carpark

Fire broke out at the car park near my home, at about 2.45am today. The loud explosions woke me up from sleep. The storey above the coffee shop was up in flames. Fire engine has already arrived and firemen shouting and running around to put out the huge fire... the atmosphere was fanatic! Went to take a look at the place, later in the morning... could still feel the heat and the smell of the burnt rubber and metal was rather strong. The fire happened at the place where bikes were parked. Looked like graveyard of motorbikes... Wonder if it’s accidental? sabotage? or self sabotage? (to claim insurance with economic problems these days)

i've missed blogging for sometime... but i'm back now.. work life is so tiring..all i wanna do when i get home is ZZZzzzzzz... can no longer stay up late like i used to...
On a more positive note... work is not too bad.. (except that office is like an ice box.. freezing.. and even more cold wen it starts to rain) other then that the colleagues are nice.. & i like the view from my desk, i'm sitting next to huge windows... love looking out from there... the office is at a high storey so with the buildings out of the way... i get a good view of the sky unblocked...

the weather hasn't been great thou, it has been raining a lot, and i hated it every time it rained.. the grey clouds and gloomy sky brings my mood down as well.. but i changed my attitude ever since i saw the rainbow...and not once but TWICE in a week..!! UooHoo... considering that fact that i've onli seen the rainbow like maybe 2 times in my entire life before that.. now it just doubled! Now everytime it rains... i look out for the rainbows.. :)

I went to the Water Fools - Ilotopie (France) which was held as part of the opening celebrations for singapore arts fest 2008. The show was on from 23 - 25 May... went on the 24th and again on the 25th jus for the fireworks...it was damnnn niceee.... tried to take pictures of them.. didnt really manage to capture it.. here are the few nicer one.. but still they dont do justice to how brilliant it was when u see it live.

There will be a similar show.. for the closing celebrations.. hopefully i'll be able to catch it as well.

About a week ago.. i started doing this thousand piece jigsaw puzzle... bought it at a second hand shop .. it was new.. as in it was an unopened box but the plastic cover was abit dusty.. i didn’t mind it as it was going for only 5bucks... plus i like the under the sea picture very much...

A week later ... this is how much i have done..lol... the initial enthusiasm is fading fast..

I’m a lil stuck... jus look at all the remaining pieces... all different shades of blue... this is definitely gonna take awhile.

Went for a walk with Clara at Arab street for no particular reason and we came across this Children Little Museum... never knew it existed. Quite cool i should say...there was this life size robot right outside the museum...and there was also one of those kampong period mobile cinema just outside the entrance... Unfortunately the museum was closed so we couldn’t get in.. i tried to peek inside but couldn’t see much.. Will definitely go back there one day...
